Coleus in Planter

Printer-friendly versionThese coleus are annuals. But I pinch off a peice of them and root in water and winter it inside my home and then next spring replant it inside a planter. This is 2 types of coleus in this planter.

I have done the same thing. But I just have the burgundy kind. My daughter brought this one from her school when they did a science project. I couldn't let it die, it is the sentimental me! So I started taking the cuttings and let them sit in the water. I think in less than 10 days the roots start to grow! It is pretty amazing! I am planning to give some away to friends this year and buy few other varieties. May be I can start a coleus collection?
