My first blooms on this plant.  I love them.  They look like butterflies and also a cute pair of earrings to me.

Very beautiful! I got a small plant this year and I am excited to see blooms. Thanks for the info now I know I should expect blooms from it next year. YAY! :)

Maw. I have this plant also . It grows very quikly and blooms very early. A very pretty plant. And Dorthy that is a very nice close up. I wish I could get pictures as nice.

Dorothy thank  you for posting this lovely shot!  How long have you had your plant?  It looks like a mature plant.  PJ sent me some seeds for this in the Santa Wish List exchange.  Hope to get some nice plants and blooms from them!  Winkmaw

Thanks for the compliments.  I got this one last year in a  4" pot.  It is in a gallon pot now and about 2 1/2 ft.  It did not bloom last year but it is full of buds right now.

I love that! I can see both the butterfly wings AND the earrings there. You know, some people actually make earrings by using the flower as the mold! That's a beautiful flower, to be sure!
