These re-seeding annuals have been a delight this year! The bees sure seem to love them too! Feel free to also post YOUR cosmos photos in this thread!

beautiful cosmos

Gorgeous color variety. I planted osme orange seeds that I got from someone in a trade but only had about 5 blooms. And the stalks got about 8 feet tall but most had no blooms at all or buds, just the green foliage. Do they make dwarf cosmos? I love them but I hate the 8 feet tall stakes. They remind me of sunflower stalks.

Cosmos will get tall & leggy like that if the soil they are in is too fertile. They actually LIKE poor soil. But, yes, there are dwarf varieties too.

OMG! The red is fabulous! Red is my very favorite color of all times. When I was a kid, I had a red bedspread, dust ruffle, red bathroom towels, a red book shelf and red bathrobe.... I love all of your cosmos. The variety is amazing and they are all show stoppers....but double clicks are just heavenly!

I had Sensation, Double Click

I had Sensation, Double Click (although it looked more like Seashells to me!) and Sonata. Sonata puttered out early in the season. Sensation is still going strong and Double Click is flowering sporadically.

My Cosmos 2008

I have only two colors of Cosmos; the common orange which is really pretty, and a new one for me called Daydream Cosmos. I was going to put their pics here, but the feature to copy & paste from my uploaded ones isn't working. How did you get yours in the post?  They are sooo lovely!!

My Cosmos

These are the Cosmos I planted this year. I had the pretty orange last year but I think I accidently pulled them out when I weeded the garden in the Spring .

I'll be sure to save you some seeds I think the red ones were not from a packet of red cosmos I believe they were from a packet I bought called Red Garden it had a variety of red flowers zinnias, cosmos and other things. I was pleasantly surprised with the cosmos :)

When I use Explorer Browser I don't get the camera icon but when I use Firefox Browser I do. Hope that helps.

I use Firefox too, but I was trying to copy and save to the post, instead of double clicking to get the insert template. I had to stop using IE for that reason, too. Wink
