Canvas top gazebos!

I just finished  erecting the metal framework for one of our gazebos.

This one is a 10'x10' canvas top.  The smaller one is an 8'x8' that I left up all winter.  Silly me!  I should have taken it down and stored it in the basement so the frame wouldn't rust.

In our back garden there is next to no shade, so we had to be creative, so we worked in our own, which sits on our deck.  Once I have the top on I will use wood screws to secure the gazebo to the deck.

This is my small piece of heaven where I can be found most days during the summer and early fall.

I'll be putting the canvas tops on next week once we get through this cold snap!  The chance of snow is still a possibility!

Nice project!

Hi Ron, I too love my little piece of heaven in my gazebo. Its one we bought from HD about 3 years ago. Metal frame 10 X 10 with shelves on each of the corners and it also has a canvas top. Having no snow here in Florida we thought we would be OK, but the first year it was up the winds from Cal. hit us, and over it toppled. Hubby thought of putting dog tie outs (the kind that screw into the ground) at each of the corners with a tie down. Worked for us since we have had some mighty big winds and it's still standing. Ours is on the ground so we didn't have the luxury of having to screw it into a deck. Once your canvas is on show us more pictures. Thanks for sharing!
