This squash has a hard rind that allows it to last through the winter without rotting.  It has a deep orange meat, that is smooth and sweet.  Baked and served with butter, sugar, and cinnamon in the center makes a delicious 'cold weather veggie', that's filled with nutrition.  Another good topping is sauteed onion, mixed with sour cream and dried dill.  Um - ummmm!
