Thanks for sharing. That is a cool idea. I will have to try that one also. I use potting soil in pots for mine. And I have blooms at Christmas time which was awesome. But I want to try this method also.
Dale, that's really neat! I've often seen narcissus bulbs forced that way, but I would never have thought to do that with an amaryllis. What a fun idea! Thanks for sharing! I may have to steal it from you sometime!

Penny all I did was take the small bowl put water about an inch up the container place the bulb and the small rocks held it upright. It was great this winter when nothing else was blooming. I did change the water every few days. The Narcisuss took alot longer in the water.
