IM HAVING AN AFFAIR.
It is dark and dreary here as the spring storm passes us by. We were in desperate need of rain on the southern side of Atlanta, Georgia. It seems as though every mention of a drop bellowing down to the earth from the heavens above makes me squirm out into the garden to conjure up a motion some would label a jig, and others an Indian Rain dance. Most likely if you saw the spell of a dance move that I make at the site of large thunder clouds you might think I was in need to head towards the powder room. Sometimes I think rain is a nice way of being forced indoors for a break.

Spring 2008
Let us here in this medium be honest with each other. I am here to write to those who want to read about what is going on in my garden. I hope I cause a few of you to be inspired to go out and take pictures of your own garden or perhaps trade a little more. I am excited to share what I have been working on this spring with all of you.

Introductions!

I do not have much garden experience, but what I do have is a love for nurturing things; it is a brilliant feeling of satisfaction, watching tulips push their little stems out of the earth little by little. They mark the weeks that draw closer to spring. That sight is worth the back pain that is required to get them in the ground each fall.
This fall came and went without many bulbs going into the ground. My husband and I have suffered from the drought here in the south eastern region of the United States and our garden dreams have paid dearly.
